What are the best AI visibility tools for destinations and hotels?
Profound, Peec AI and OtterlyAI track the prompts you write, daily, for brands of every kind. Centium adds destination features at a low monthly price. Drifter AI is built only for places: it writes the traveler questions, shows which of your hotels and attractions AI recommends and whose pages it cites, and drafts the fixes.
Why does a destination or hotel need a different kind of tool?
A brand tracker checks whether AI mentions you when someone asks about your category. A place gets chosen differently. A traveler asks where to go for a beach weekend or a seafood trip, never naming you, and the answer is built from the hotels, restaurants, attractions and events around you, and from whose pages AI trusts.
One real week of Drifter AI for La Jolla Travel (lajolla.travel): 69 traveler questions, 50 of them never naming La Jolla, written for travelers planning from Los Angeles, Orange County, Phoenix, Las Vegas and the Bay Area, and 276 answers read from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity. For a hotel, the same week is about one property: the questions where AI names you, and whose page gets the credit.

AI named the 50 places around La Jolla 353 times that week, and only 14 of those mentions came in an answer that cited lajolla.travel. The hotels and restaurants get recommended while the destination’s pages get little credit, and the week’s fixes go after exactly that gap.

La Jolla puts oceanfront dining and walkable coves within a short stroll of each other, so a two-day seafood weekend here means terrace lunches, tide-level dinners, and morning walks past the sea lions. This guide names the tables to book, the beaches to pair them with, and a simple two-day plan.
Written for travelers asking about “best Southern California Coast towns for seafood weekends,” in the site’s own voice. Nothing publishes until your team approves it.

Tool by tool
Who should pick each one?
Profound
The broadest platform here. It tracks up to nine AI systems on Enterprise and runs AI agents that write content and stage page changes in your CMS.
Pick Profound if you are a large travel brand selling in many markets and want many AI systems, regions and content agents under one enterprise contract.
A flexible daily tracker for marketing teams. You choose the prompts, three AI models on the self-serve plans, and any supported country or language at no extra cost.
Pick Peec AI if you want to write your own prompts, track them daily in several countries or languages, and get a lot of prompts for the money.
A self-serve tracker founded by a destination marketer. It runs 120 prompts across seven AI models, with published prices and a weekly, every-two-weeks or monthly refresh.
Pick Centium if you want seven AI models, including Grok and Google AI Mode, at a low monthly price, or a one-time audit.
Mindtrip’s tool for tourism boards reads conversations in its own trip planner to find the questions travelers ask and the gaps in a destination’s content, and drafts copy to fill them.
Pick it if you want content ideas from what travelers ask Mindtrip. It isn’t built to show what ChatGPT or Gemini tell travelers, so pair it with a tracker.
Drifter AI
Built only for places. It writes the traveler questions for you, shows which of your hotels and attractions AI recommends, and drafts the fixes in your site’s voice.
Pick Drifter AI if you market a destination, hotel or attraction and want the questions, the fixes and the drafts worked out for you each week.
Before you buy
How should a tourism board or hotel choose?
Does it see past your own name?
Travelers choose a destination with its hotels, restaurants, attractions and events. Ask each vendor whether the tool shows which of them AI names around you and whose pages it cites, and whether it can follow a festival, a season or an audience you are planning for.
Who writes the questions?
Most general tools track the prompts you give them. That works when you already know what travelers ask. If you don’t, a tool that writes traveler questions from your place, and asks them without naming you, shows whether AI recommends you to someone who has never heard of you.
Which AI systems does the price include?
Engine lists differ more than they look. OtterlyAI’s base plans leave out Claude and Gemini, Peec AI’s self-serve plans track three models you choose, and Profound’s free trial covers three. Check which systems your travelers use and what each one costs to add.
How often do you need it?
Profound, Peec AI and OtterlyAI check every day, Centium weekly to monthly by plan, and Drifter AI once a week. If you want to watch answers move day to day, pick a daily tool. If you mostly need to know whether a page you published changed the answers, weekly is enough.
Where does AI send people to book?
When AI recommends a hotel or a tour, it often cites a booking site or a travel blog instead of your own page. Ask each vendor whether the tool shows the exact page behind every answer, so you can tell whether a recommendation leads to you or to someone else. Drifter AI lists every page each answer cites.
Why does a tourism board plan cost more than a monthly tracker?
A monthly tracker reports on the prompts you give it. A tourism board plan should cover the work around the numbers. Drifter AI’s Destination plan sets up the questions with your team from your feeder markets, follows which partners AI recommends, drafts the fixes in your site’s voice, and includes a quarterly review timed to your board. If a tracker is all you need, a monthly tool costs less.
What will your team act on?
A score doesn’t tell anyone what to do. Ask each vendor to show you one finding turned into work: a page to correct, a brief for your writers, a fix for your webmaster, or a partner or publication to approach.
Can you test them on your own place?
Take ten questions travelers ask about your destination or hotel and run them in two tools in the same week. Compare which answers name you, which sites they cite, and what each tool tells you to do next.
Facts about other tools come from their own websites, read in October 2026. “Not listed” means it isn’t on their site, not that the product can’t do it. Prices change, so check their pages before you buy. If something here is out of date, tell us at hello@drifter.travel and we’ll fix it.
Tourism boards usually start with a 30-minute demo on their own questions. Hotels and attractions can start with a free Snapshot: it starts from your website and arrives in a few minutes.
