See when an overview appears

The question-by-question view separates four outcomes: no overview shown, absent from the overview, named in the overview, and cited as a source. Open any available overview to read the captured answer and its references.

Follow the evidence back to its sources

The source view shows when an overview cites your official website and the mix of sources behind the answers. You can inspect the top credited domains and open the pages Google cited.

This distinction matters because Google can use your page as evidence without naming you in the answer. Drifter calls that out instead of collapsing the two signals into one number.

Keep Google separate from the benchmark

Google AI Overview is measured as a consumer search surface, not as a fifth AI assistant. Its results do not change the four-engine Answer Share or Authority Share benchmark across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity.

The report keeps the measurement period, question counts, and source evidence beside each rate so you can see what was observed and what was not.
