Editorial Review
Crescent Beach is the kind of place that humbles you: a low-key, long stretch of sand and gravel where locals come to walk, picnic and watch the sun collapse into the bay. A roughly 3 km seaside path threads benches and grassy rises, and a small pier toward the north gives photographers and kids a place to linger. At low tide the shore opens into kid-friendly tide pools and wide expanses of wet sand you can walk for kilometers on. The vibe skews communal rather than touristy — families, dog walkers and couples out for the evening — though summer parking can be a battle. Nearby gelato shops, fish-and-chips joints and a clutch of small restaurants mean dinner after sunset is a ritual. There are washrooms at intervals, but seating can feel sparse for older visitors. This is South Surrey’s quieter foil to White Rock: less showy, more lived-in, where the community comes to end the day together and let the tide do the talking.
